The DP Facilities Mineral Gap Data Center is located in Wise, VA, otherwise known as "The Safest Place on Earth." In addition to its protected mountain location, it's conveniently located outside of the "blast zone," near a large airport, and close to government mission critical locations. The area is also optimal for data security, characterized by the redundancy of power and telecommunication that ensures data will always be covered.

Our Mineral Gap Data Center enforces anti-terrorism protection. It has enhanced security measures through its designs as a high-strength, pre-cast concrete facility with K-rated, U.S. Department of State certified anti-ram fencing and wedge barriers. Additionally, it has both a perimeter blast berm and counter-IED protective measures.

In addition to standard biometric and key card multi-factor authentication, the Mineral Gap data center ensures security through 24/7/365 on-duty armed security personnel, as well as extensive video and counter-surveillance systems. This data center facility also provides an advanced tactical command center and is NIST 800, SSAE 16 and SOC 1 & SOC 2 compliant.
